So, how does this work?
So, you've decided that you, your family, or your people need some help. Now what?! Well, I can't tell you how every therapist in the world does their thing because we're all different, but I'd love to tell you about how Legacy Family Counseling is constructed...
I am an LMFT-A, which means I am currently under supervision by a someone with years of experience and crazy enough to deal with me! Because of my degree and license, the great state of Texas allows me to have a private practice. I also do not bill insurance, and honestly don't ever plan to. Billing insurance requires one thing: a diagnosis. While that may not sound like a big deal, for those that have security sensitive jobs, it's a BIG deal. Doing a cash-pay only service means that while I do keep notes to jog my memory and stay organized, there is really no other trail of your visit. It really is completely confidential!

So, how do we get started? First you send me an email at legacyfamilycounseling@gmail.com and we set up a time to do a first visit. The first few times we meet are really an introduction to counseling and being able to set some goals, figure out where we go from there. There are a million therapists out there, and we all have our own styles and specialties, so if it doesn't feel like a good fit, then I will encourage you to find another one that does!
